Early Morning Blessings

I’m feeling extremely grateful this morning that I have the opportunity to live my life on a farm.  This farm is a dream come true for us.  We don’t take it for granted.  Yes, sometimes it’s hard to get out of bed on a cold winter morning to go out and do chores, but that small sacrifice is wrapped in great rewards.  Like the chatter of chickens, ducks and geese.  The gentle humming of alpacas.  The romping of rabbits.  The play of goats.  And the feeling of a job well done.

There are also those moments that take your breath away.  Like the sound and flight of hundreds of Canadian geese flying up north to my native land of Canada.  Like the pair of Sandhill Cranes that come back every spring to that little patch of territory in our back pasture.  Like the first sighting of a Robin with her bright red breast.  And the first signs of green returning to the trees.

Taking time outside to enjoy and appreciate the small things around the farm sets me up for a good day.  I come back in the house, spirit renewed, ready to face the day – whatever it brings.

What morning rituals set you up for a good day?  And if you’re ever out our way, stop in and I’ll show you around the farm.

Until next time . . .

  1. Teresa, you are really blessed! If I lived on a farm I would be excited to enjoy the day. I grew up on a farm but live in the city now. I still enjoy hearing mother nature and seeing what is available in the city. Loved the farm life!

Thank you Nancy! It’s wonderful that you grew up on a farm and can carry those memories with you in the city. If ever you’re out this way, look us up!

      Have a beautiful day,
      Teresa

Thank you for taking the time to leave me a comment.
